For over 10 years, Elayne has helped hundreds of individuals assess their strengths and leadership potential using 360-degree feedback, personality assessments, and career development tools. Drawing on her expertise in diversity in the workplace, she enjoys coaching professionals as they progress in their global careers.
Elayne has worked with organizations in sectors ranging from government to higher education, healthcare, and non-profit. Her specialties include helping culturally diverse organizations develop their employees and coaching leaders in these organizations as they build effective and productive teams.
She has designed and facilitated keynote talks, trainings, and workshops to groups of all sizes on career development planning, managing a diverse workforce, and communicating effectively. Elayne has also worked with organizations to design and implement career development programs that have led to greater retention of talented employees and improved recruitment efforts.
Elayne has held many academic positions. She has been a visiting scholar at Renmin University in Beijing, China, and a lecturer at both the Ohio State University and University of California-Irvine. She has held adjunct faculty positions at San Francisco State University, The Wright Institute, and Diablo Valley College. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Asian American Psychological Association, and the National Career Development Association, and she serves on the board of PACT.
Elayne holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the Ohio State University. Elayne is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
